BYN's platinum-silicone containers are built without BPA, PFAS, or microplastic shedding, with early access opening November 1 at 25% off ahead of full launch.
BYN (Bring Your Nutrition) is preparing to launch, a food storage brand built on platinum-cured silicone instead of plastic. The containers are made without BPA, PFAS, or other coatings tied to microplastic shedding, and early access opens November 1 at 25% off ahead of the brand's full-price launch.
BYN is building its pitch around one number: by its own testing, one plastic container run through a microwave for three minutes releases 4.22 million microplastic particles. The brand's platinum silicone containers are designed to eliminate that shedding entirely, while handling a wide temperature range across daily use.
Each container is third-party tested to FDA and LFGB standards, shatterproof, and lighter than glass, rated to perform from -40°F up to 425°F across the fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, and dishwasher. BYN is positioning the line as a one-time buy rather than another round of replacing cracked or stained plastic containers. The debut colorway, Mocha, is the first design shown ahead of launch.
BYN is founded by Hunter McVey, who also founded UVG Health, acts under the role of Blue on 911: Nashville, and has built a following of more than 554,000 on Instagram. McVey announced the brand after close to two years of development and testing, framing BYN as a way to remove microplastics as one more uncontrollable variable from people's health.
I first came across BYN through podcaster and creator Michael Smoak, who appears among the brand's early product reviewers and investors ahead of launch.
BYN opens early access November 1, with a discount code sent that day, 25% off at launch, and guaranteed first delivery for early sign-ups. Containers are rated for -40°F to 425°F and independently tested to FDA and LFGB standards.
