Chirp Launches Contrast, A Hot-And-Cold Therapy Tool For Headaches And Neck Tension

October 29, 2026

Chirp's newest device cycles between heat and cold at the base of the skull, pairing trigger-point pressure with rapid temperature therapy to target suboccipital tension.

Chirp has launched Chirp Contrast, a hot-and-cold therapy device built to target the suboccipital muscles at the base of the skull — an area linked to tension headaches and neck stiffness. The device combines static trigger-point pressure with heat, cold, or alternating contrast therapy, and it's available now at $169.99.

‍

How It Works

Two ThermaTouch™ nodes sit against the base of the skull when a user lies back onto the device, applying deep, static pressure to the suboccipital muscles. Users choose between three modes — Heat to relax tension, Cold for a numbing sensation, or Contrast to cycle between both — and ThermaWeave™ technology brings the nodes to temperature in seconds rather than requiring a warm-up period.

‍

Built To Adjust

The nodes slide to match neck width, and flipping their orientation changes the pressure: pointed up for more direct contact, pointed down for a gentler, more spread-out feel. Chirp says the design is intended to help relieve tension headaches, migraines, and chronic neck pain associated with suboccipital tightness, while noting that not all headaches stem from the same source.
