A trail-tested belt that tightens with a dial instead of a strap, built to hold over a liter of fluid without shifting on your hips.
DERA has launched its debut product, the B01 Trail Running Belt, the first release from a new brand built specifically around trail-running accessories. The belt is designed to solve the two things runners complain about most with hydration belts: bounce and bulk. It uses a dial-fit closure instead of a traditional buckle or strap, letting runners tighten the fit evenly around the body without breaking stride.
Most running belts loosen unevenly over the course of a run, shifting as fluid weight moves and body temperature changes. That's usually the actual source of chafing and bounce, not the belt's size to begin with. DERA's dial-fit system addresses this directly, tightening evenly around the entire belt so runners can adjust the fit mid-run without stopping or fumbling with a strap.
DERA tested the B01 on race distances from 11 miles to 62 miles, positioning it toward ultra-distance and longer trail efforts rather than short road runs. A few specs behind the build:
The belt separates front and rear storage rather than treating the whole thing as one pouch. A rear pass-through sleeve holds poles or an extra layer with gripping elastic bands and adjustable pull tabs, while a water-resistant stash pocket and external zip pocket keep smaller items like salt tabs, a car key, or cash accessible without digging through the main compartment.
The DERA B01 Trail Running Belt is available now at dera.com for $129, in Granite White, sizes XS through XL. Several sizes are already sold out.
