Garmin has launched Enduro 4, a solar-charging GPS smartwatch built for endurance athletes and multiday adventurers.
Garmin has announced Enduro™ 4, its longest-lasting GPS smartwatch with solar charging, aimed at endurance athletes and multiday adventurers. Running on an energy-efficient 1.4-inch MIP display paired with a solar lens, Enduro 4 delivers up to 320 hours of battery life in activity mode or up to 90 days in smartwatch mode — numbers built for races and expeditions that last far longer than a charge cycle usually allows.
"As interest and participation in ultra-endurance activities continue to grow, Enduro 4 is designed for athletes and adventurers who want gear they can trust to perform through every mile, every climb and every challenge," said Susan Lyman, Garmin vice president of consumer sales and marketing.
Enduro 4 adds comprehensive power modes, letting athletes choose between Max Accuracy for shorter, full-feature efforts and Max Battery for extended, multiday recording. New grade-adjusted pace-based workout targets and grade-adjusted rolling pace help athletes hold the right effort on hilly or mountainous terrain, while stamina zones and a stamina curve track how endurance shifts over the course of an activity and across a training history.
The watch also introduces Garmin Epic, which strings multiple activities together into one continuous story in Garmin Connect™ — spanning days, weeks, or months, with photos, shared updates, and aggregated health and performance data. A 50% RAM bump over Enduro 3 and an updated map engine bring 30% faster panning and routable maps, alongside enhanced rowing tools and expanded rucking features for pack weight and calorie targets.
At 66 grams, Enduro 4 is one of the lightest ultraperformance smartwatches on the market, built around a 51mm case, Power Sapphire™ scratch-resistant lens, titanium bezel, and fiber-reinforced polymer case. It carries a 10 ATM water resistance rating, a built-in LED flashlight with white and red-light modes, and 64 GB of onboard memory for maps, music, and data. The new ComfortFit Fabric Band adds moisture-wicking comfort with QuickFit™ swapping.
Ultra-endurance sports keep pushing athletes further from a wall outlet, and the gear is finally catching up. Enduro 4 is available now at a suggested retail price of $899.99.
