A low-profile earbud built specifically for sleep, now with longer battery life, better connectivity, and sleep-tracking insights built in.
Ozlo just launched the Sleepbuds 2, the follow-up to its original sleep earbuds and the company's first major update to the line. Built by a team of former Bose engineers, the Sleepbuds 2 are designed to solve a problem regular earbuds can't: staying comfortable and functional through a full night of side sleeping. I've personally been wearing these the last 7 days and am blown away with the quality, comfort, and control.
At just 1.6 grams and 11mm tall per earbud, the Sleepbuds 2 are smaller and lower profile than both the Soundcore A30 and AirPods Pro 3, sitting nearly flush in the ear so they don't dig in when you roll onto your side. That size difference is the whole point: most earbuds press painfully into the ear the moment you lie down, and the Sleepbuds 2 are built to avoid that entirely.
The headline upgrade is battery life, jumping from roughly 10 hours on the original to up to 14 hours on the Sleepbuds 2, enough to cover a full night without a mid-sleep dropout. Ozlo also redesigned the antenna system for a more stable Bluetooth connection and added a physical button to the Smart Case, letting you start a sleep sound or snooze the alarm without reaching for your phone.
The core function hasn't changed: carefully tuned sound masking to reduce the impact of what wakes you up, whether that's a snoring partner, street noise, or a restless pet. Users can stream music or podcasts to fall asleep, pull from a built-in library of ambient sounds like ocean and rain, or set a private in-ear alarm that only they can hear. The Smart Case also tracks environmental factors like noise, light, and temperature alongside sleep patterns, giving a fuller picture of what's actually disrupting sleep over time.
There's no active noise cancellation here, and Ozlo has been upfront that ANC isn't effective against unpredictable sounds like snoring anyway. Instead, the Sleepbuds 2 lean fully into sound masking and physical comfort, a narrower but more reliable approach for the specific problem they're solving. After testing them out myself I'm shocked at out light they are and easily to use.
Sleep tech tends to either overcomplicate the problem or undersize the solution. The Sleepbuds 2 land in between, small enough to disappear once you're in bed, functional enough to actually change how you sleep. I'm impressed.
