QALO Launches the SL-1 Smart Band, a Next-Generation Wearable

October 13, 2026

QALO has launched the SL-1 Smart Band, a wrist-worn companion to its Smart Ring that tracks sleep, stress, recovery, HRV, and activity with no subscription.

The Launch

QALO, the brand behind the original silicone ring, has launched the SL-1 Smart Band, its next wearable alongside the QALO Smart Ring. The move comes as QALO's user base has grown more than 400% year-over-year, and it expands the company's health platform from one wearable form factor to two — letting users move between devices while keeping sleep, stress, recovery, and activity data on a single, continuous health profile.

"QALO has always believed that the best wearable is one that fits naturally into every active lifestyle," said Jake Curreri, CEO of QALO. "The Smart Band is the next step in building a more flexible health platform, giving people the choice to wear the Smart Ring, Smart Band, or both."

‍

The Tech

The HSA/FSA-eligible, water-resistant Smart Band runs on 12+ days of battery life and tracks sleep, movement, SpO2, heart rate, stress, HRV, skin temperature, and women's health metrics, including menstrual cycle phase tracking, period prediction, and fertility awareness. A proprietary Daily Q Score condenses sleep, HRV, movement, and stress into a single 1-100 snapshot, while live heart rate tracking gives real-time heart rate, elapsed time, and step count during workouts.

Where the Smart Ring is built to stay on through the day, sleep, and lighter workouts, the Smart Band is engineered for high-intensity movement — CrossFit, strength training, manual labor — where a ring isn't practical. Both connect to the same QALO app, so a workout logged on the Smart Band and a night of sleep tracked on the Smart Ring land in the same continuous record, with no data fragmented across devices.

Why It Matters

Most wearable brands pick a form factor and stay there. QALO is betting that recovery, readiness, and training don't happen in just one form factor either — and that a subscription-free platform spanning both will hold onto its fast-growing user base instead of splitting it. The Smart Band is available now at qalo.com for $199.95, with retail expansion into 50 Walmart locations nationwide this fall.
