Share Aura Just Turned Your Workout Tracker Into a Social Network

September 6, 2026

ShareAura built a full social layer into its fitness app, turning every workout into a story-style post, complete with profiles, an explore feed, and shareable gear.

What Is the New Share Aura?

Share Aura started as a tool for turning workouts into shareable graphics. With its latest update, the app has built a full social layer directly into the experience, shifting from a fitness content tool to a direct competitor in Strava's lane.

How the New Social Features Work

Every activity now posts as a Story, not just a stat card. Users can add photos or video, edit the look, tag friends, and let others view and like it. Each account also gets a profile, where every activity lives in a customizable grid, plus an Explore feed to swipe through friends, discover new athletes, and find training partners nearby.

Why Aura Gear Is the Standout Addition

The update also introduces Aura Gear, letting users tag and share the shoes, apparel, and equipment they trained in, pulled from Aura's own catalog or Google. Running fits have become a personality trait for a lot of athletes, and this is the first version of the app built to show that off rather than just log the workout. Gear tracking, sharing, and shopping are expected to expand further in future updates.

Availability

With social and tracking now combined in one app, Share Aura is positioning itself as the next-generation alternative to Strava. The update is live now on Share Aura.
